Elisabeth Stützer comes from the Upper Bavarian border region with Salzburg and is a German and Austrian citizen.

After studying piano and singing at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg and the University of the Arts in Berlin, she was taught by Kammersänger Johan Botha and Grace Bumbry.
